Rosecrest Piano Studio Policies 2026-2027
Student & Parent Participation Expectations:
Lessons must end at the designated time regardless of students’ arrival times. Please try to be on time so we can utilize every minute for lessons! Please do not send students more than five minutes before their lesson begins.
Parents should help students develop a practice routine of at least five days per week.
Please check their assignment page for practice and assignment instructions and remember to sign their practice chart before lessons. I may also send texts or emails with additional practice help, videos, and instructions.
Scheduling & Make-Up Lessons:
If a student must miss their lesson for any reason, please inform me by text or email with as much notice as possible. I will not be offering make up lessons this year but am including a flex week. I have included a bonus, tuition-free lesson as a buffer should students have to miss a week. If they attend every lesson, they get that one extra lesson for free!
If for any reason I have to cancel a lesson myself, I will either offer an alternative lesson time that week or will utilize the teacher flex weeks at the end of the year to make it up. (The last two weeks of May.)
Materials & Expenses
Students should have access to a piano or full-sized keyboard with 88-weighted keys and a bench at the proper height. (I can help with ideas for adjusting the bench for young students.)
A piano bag, binder, piano books, sheet music, and all other materials will be provided for your student throughout the year. We will have multiples performances with a formal recital in March. This is all covered by your yearly registration fee and tuition.
Lending Library Materials: Books, games, sheet music, and other practice materials will be loaned to students throughout the year. Please make sure they return materials in good condition.
Tuition & Payment:
A yearly registration fee of $50 is required to hold your students spot for the upcoming year.
Tuition is calculated based on the total amount of lessons scheduled for the year and is divided by the number of months. It doesn’t matter if there are five lessons or two, the tuition fee is exactly the same each month.
A payment request will be sent at the beginning of each month via Venmo, text, or email. Payments can be made by cash, check, bank transfer, or Venmo. (Venmo @Amy-Madeo) I am able to provide a receipt of payment if necessary.
Tuition is due at or before the first lesson of the month. Payments more than one week late may incur a $5 late fee.
